Hello,

I have been trying to generate a BSDF output from Window for a multi-state EC glazing (let's say #8900). The problem is my output only has data for the light and dark states defined and the other three intermediate states are not calculated. What can I do to make Window generate the distribution function for all 5 states instead? I am trying to use this information as an input to a matrix-based Radiance calculation.

what version of WINDOW are you running?

WINDOW will only generate BSDFs for those two states when the chromogenic records are "grouped" as they are in the WINDOW database.

To see each state individually, you can import records from the IGDB database, where they are not "grouped" -- you should probably do this in a WINDOW database that does not have any chromogenic layers in it already.

Thank you so much, I am using the latest version of WINDOW (7.7). And I am guessing this will give me multiple BSDF files (one per state), yes?

Bests,

You have to run each state in a separate glazing system, and get the BSDF for each of the states that way. And the only place that you can get the states as individual records is in the IGDB file, glazing.mdb, which should be in the LBNL Shared directory.
