Hello, I am attempting to import a custom glazing from Window 7.7.10 into a Therm 7.7.10 file. When I change my import directory to the Users Glazing it gives me the following error: Trouble reading the WINDOW database. This may be an older version of a WINDOW database that is not supported by this version of Therm. Contact LBNL for further information.

How can I get it to read the database properly.

Thanks,

Micaela

I was able to find that my Window was using a different database within the Window7.7 folder. Is there a reason it isn't writing to the User Glazing Database?

I don't quite understand what database you are trying to import into THERM.

The WINDOW database is not a "user glazing" file -- you might be confusing the Optics file called UserGlazing.mdb, which is NOT a WINDOW database.

The procedure would be as follows:
  • Create a glazing system in WINDOW. It will get saved to the default WINDOW database, called w7.mdb, unless you have specifically changed the name

  • In THERM, when importing a glazing system, make sure that database is what is referenced, and you should see the glazing systems defined in that WINDOW database in the Glazing System pull down list in that same dialog box

  • You should then see the Insert Glazing System dialog box and proceed to import the WINDOW glazing system
