Using GRD files for a glass product not in the database

Hi,

We have received GRD files of a coated glass (its low-e coating is not in the exisitng library) so that we can use it for making a new glazing system in Window 7.4. 

But we are not sure about the correct way to use these GRD files. We have also tried to import it as a text file into Optics but it has missing data.

Can someone help us to figure it out?

You first have to import them into Optics as a TXT file, which then puts them in the Optics User Database. 

From WINDOW, you can then specify the Optics User Database as your import source 

But it sounds like the file you have received from GRD is not formatted such that Optics can read it. 

Here is the specification for the format, which Guardian should know, as they submit data to the IGDB regularly.

If you want to send me one of the GRD files you are trying to import into Optics, I can give you feedback about what is missing.

Please see the grd files in the attachment. 

One of them can be imported but is missing information. The other cannot be imported into Optics at all.
