CLA World Service Organization Meeting 10-24-09

Hello, fellow CLA members.

The next WSO Meeting will be held on Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m.
Pacific Time (1 p.m. Eastern Time). The telephone is (712) 775-7100,
and the access code is 727026. During the meeting, press *6 to mute
yourself, then press *6 again to unmute.

The World Service Meeting is where decisions are made that affect the
entire Fellowship of CLA, where problems and solutions are discussed,
and much more. Any CLA member is welcome to attend and speak, so come
and have a hand in the doings of our Fellowship. This month we should
vote on two major proposals: whether to include portions of our
literature on the website, and whether to adopt a more restrictive
policy on literature (See Motion 2009-18—attached).

If you have any concerns about the Fellowship, this is the place to
come. While any member can attend, only group delegates and WSO
officers have a vote. If your group has no delegate and wishes to be
represented, you could hold a group conscience to elect one before the
meeting. Some meetings have a delegate and an alternate so the duties
can be shared. Delegates have the responsibility of attending the
telephone conference meeting of the WSO ten times a year, taking news
from the meeting to their group, and voting at WSO as per their group
conscience.

The meeting is run according to our Meeting Protocol (attached) and
the modified Roberts Rules of Order.
