Anyone want to start thinking global at BBL? The french government usually does cut checks for these types of initiatives, it could be a good way to bootstrap some funds (even if that means some of the work has to be done in France). Let us know and we can help with the application.

Subject: YEi Young Entrepreneur initiative program
Dear Mr Bethencourt,

The Office for Science and Technology of the French Embassy is launching the 2014 edition of a start-up competition called the Young Entrepreneurs initiative (YEi). It aims at giving American entrepreneurs opportunities to develop their business in the French/European Market. The YEi accelerator has been running for 10 years and we are expecting more than 100 applications this year. For more information on key dates, see the attached digital business card. You can also refer to our website www.yeifrance.com.

This program could be of interest for the companies that are hosted within Berkeley BioLabs: those that have plans to explore European markets might benefit from a free one-week long exploration of the locations most suited to their expansion. This is why we are reaching out to you in order to coordinate a meeting to explore the opportunities of partnership with your organization.
Oscar Castanon, YEi Manager, located in the French Consulate Boston Office, will come to San Francisco Bay Area from June 30 to July 2, 2014, and will be available to meet you to discuss further about the YEi program.
Would you be available for a meeting with Mr. Castanon on Wednesday July 2nd at 8:30 am or 10:30am? Please do not hesitate to suggest other time slots that might fit your calendar better. If you are not available between June 30 and July 2, it would be also possible to organize a phone call to give you more info about YEi.

Best regards,
Veronique Mini
