Hey Fellow Biohackers,

I just wanted to let you know that Indie Bio (Indieb.io) SF is now accepting applications for it's first batch of startups this Jan.

Here are the details:

The standard deal is $35k in funding for 3-4 months and a lab in downtown San Francisco with 24hr access to build your projects/startup. I've been working with Arvind (the venture partner) to help launch the accelerator and I'm SUPER excited about it as it'll be the first Biotech focused early stage accelerator with funding!

The test batch of companies in Cork, Ireland for the program (previously called Synbioaxlr8r), were incredibly successful with 4/6 raising follow on financing, three companies raised $500k after the program and one, Muufri, raised $2M.

Applications are open now and it'll be on a first come first reviewed basis. If you have a cool idea you want to get some seed funding for it, definitely apply!

I've also attached an interview with Arvind in Xconomy on the launch of Indie Bio and the importance of supporting early stage biotech:

All the best,
Ryan
