主，每一天你给我们新的话语，为着你给我们看见我们有分于神的神性，我们感谢你。我们已经得着了你的生命和性情，并且借着这些我们有分于神的神性！

彼后1:4	借这荣耀和美德，祂已将又宝贵又极大的应许赐给我们，叫你们既逃离世上从情欲来的败坏，就借着这些应许，得有分于神的性情。

彼得在他的第二封书信里，揭示那能使信徒逃离情欲之败坏的能力、力量，以及逃离的结果。这能力就是神圣生命的（美德），这结果就是有分于神的性情，享受三一神（所是）的一切丰富。我们有分于神的性情，并享受神一切的所是，就使神（性情）一切的丰富，得着完全的（发展），如彼前一章五至七节所描述的。我们既逃离世上从情欲来的败坏，除去神圣生命在我们里面长大的（障碍），我们就得着（释放），有分于神的性情，在其发展中，借着神的美德尽享其一切丰富，而达到神的（荣耀）。（参彼后一4注4）

Lord, we thank You for showing us that we participate in God¡¯s divinity. We have received Your life and Your nature, and by these we participate in God¡¯s divinity.

2 Pet. 1:4	Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust.

Here, in his second Epistle, he unveiled to them the energy, the strength, by which they were enabled to escape the corruption in lust, and the result of that escape. The energy is the (virtue) of the divine life, and the result is that the believers partake of the divine nature of God and thus enjoy all the riches of (what) the Triune God is. In our partaking of the divine nature and in our enjoying of all that God is, all the riches of the divine (nature) will be fully (developed), as described in vv. 5-7. Having escaped the corruption of lust in the world and having thus removed the (barriers) to the growth of the divine life in us, we are (freed) to become partakers of the divine nature and to enjoy its riches to the fullest extent in its development by the virtue of God unto His (glory).  (See 2 Pet. 1:4 note 5)
