FYI....a NOWcast was issued at 12:25 PM
today by the NWS Upton NY....noting changing precipitation types in the
area...based on location/elevation....any reports of such changing precipitation
types (rain to sleet or rain to snow...sleet to snow, etc)...and definitely any
reports of accumulations should be sent to the NWS. The Link below can be

.NOW... A MIX OF SNOW AND RAIN WILL BECOME MORE
INTERMITTENT THROUGH 130 PM MAINLY FOR LOCATIONS IN ELEVATED TERRAIN ABOVE
500 FEET. THE PRECIPITATION WILL BE MOSTLY LIGHT WITH ANY SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATIONS ON GRASSY SURFACES WITH A DUSTING WITH LESS THAN A TENTH OF
AN INCH OF RAIN IN OTHER LOCATIONS AT LOWER
ELEVATIONS.
