Dear Partner in the Gospel,

In the last newsletter, we examined Part I of Pope Benedict XVI's
first encyclical, "God is Love". It was immediately evident that
Benedict knows neither the God of the Bible nor His Gospel. In our
current newsletter entitled, "Papal Promotion of Collective Ownership
and Theft," we deal with the thinking that constitutes the basis for
the second part of Benedict's encyclical.

A biblical understanding of economics is one of the gifts that God
gives to sustain us, believer and non-believer alike. Biblical
economic principles are to be treasured as they bring some degree of
stability and wellbeing into societies. This current Pope, like his
predecessors, is flagrantly denying private property and basic
biblical economic principles because he has accepted the papal
principle of "the universal destination of goods". The Lord's people
need to be made aware of these facts and some of the examples that
fall under them.

Mismanaging $2.3 billion of taxpayers' money and helping illegal
aliens unlawfully find shelter are just two examples of what comprise
this important topic. What is at stake is the livelihood of millions
of people and a sinister enslaving of many Catholics in the name of so-
called social welfare. All of this and more is carefully documented
in our current article entitled "Papal Promotion of Collective
Ownership and Theft." To obtain the article, just click on this URL

Our book, Catholicism: East of Eden, continues to create great
interest and is receiving some outstanding reviews. The latest of
these is by Dr. Peter Masters of Spurgeon's Metropolitan Tabernacle
London. Among other things, Dr. Masters wrote, "Richard Bennett spent
over twenty years as a parish priest in Trinidad and writes from deep
experience, providing the most readable survey, supported by first-
hand experiences, of any of the currently available critiques of
Catholicism. In the chapter, 'The Mystic Plague,' the author takes his
readers into a Shango (Voodoo) meeting attended by him as a curious
priest. We read of gory rituals tolerated by the Catholic Church,
which for centuries has absorbed the mystery elements of pagan
religions. The alignment of new evangelicals with Rome is ably
reviewed; a crucial chapter that should be read by all evangelical
office bearers, but then the whole book is of such immense value it
should be regarded as priority reading. It is a blend of sheer
intelligence and simple clarity. Strongly recommended."
