Hiring: QA Tester – Local to DC, MD, or VA Only (Contract Role)
Location: Washington, DC / Maryland / Virginia (Local candidates only — onsite or hybrid as required)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Eligibility: H4-EAD, H1B, and USC only (No GC candidates for this role)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled QA Tester to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual and/or automation testing, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of professional experience as a QA Tester / QA Analyst
Strong experience in manual testing, including test case design, execution, and defect tracking
Familiarity with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Experience with API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools
Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices
Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, TestRail)
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
