Hiring: Golang Solutions Architect

📍 Location: Atlanta (Local candidates strongly preferred)
🕒 Duration: 6+ Months
🏢 Client Domain: Retail

We are looking for an experienced Golang Solutions Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance backend systems for enterprise retail platforms. This role requires a strong architectural mindset along with hands-on Golang development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

  • Lead end-to-end backend architecture using Go (Golang)
  • Define and implement microservices architecture, service boundaries, and communication patterns
  • Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant distributed systems
  • Build architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and engineering standards
  • Evaluate and recommend modern tools, frameworks, and cloud solutions

Development & Technical Leadership

  • Provide hands-on development support for critical Golang services
  • Establish best practices for:
    • Concurrency
    • Memory management
    • Error handling
    • Performance optimization
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and gRPC services
  • Mentor engineering teams on clean code, Go idioms, and design patterns
  • Lead code reviews and technical discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on Golang (Go) development
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or Technical Architect
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Microservices architecture
    • REST APIs & gRPC
    • Distributed systems & concurrent programming
    • Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
  • Retail or large-scale consumer platform experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
