"Wget" Problem

Hi guys,

Im having a problem retrieving my XML from pachube using wget, ive
followed Ros' tutorial on how to do this several times step by step.
The only thing is that when i open the .Bat file to retrieve my XML is
says this message:

"'wget.exe' us not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."

Im pretty sure ive installed it all correctly, Any help would be
fantastic.

Hi Stephen,

That means windows can't find the wget.exe. What happens if you place
the wget.exe inside your Mod folder?

Copy wget.exe from here C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\bin
and paste C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis Wars
\Mods\"your mod"

as a file on my computer.

hey ros
ive also had this problem so i copied the wget.exe file to my mod
folder but then it comes up with an error saying 'The program can't
start because LIBEAY32.dll is missing from your computer. Try
reinstalling the program to fix this problem.'
ive already attempted to reinstall and its still happening.
Please help :)

Yeh i had the same thing just copy ALL the fiels from the Wget bin
folder over - not just the .exe file.. then it should work fine.

I have a problem, i go into my wget folder but i cant find the folder 'bin'

im running windows7 64bit

Hi,

I've done everything said in this post but still I get an error , but
the error I get is different.
The process is fine until, "HTTP request sent,awaiting response... 404
Not Found"

Anyone know what the problem is?

hey Tas,

make sure when you copy the XML link from the net, you copy only from
the api.. not the HTTP.

     I have win 7 64 bit, can't find the location that you describe here C:\Program Files (x86)\....bin folder is not present can you suggest any other way to run wget. Thanks
