Hi,

I was just wondering, since the majority of the pachube feeds for the
second year students are now frozen, will this mean our analytics
engines wont do anything since they wont be downloaded any data? and
how do we get around this issue?

Thanks,
Daniel

use a feed that isnt frozen as a test. then once the feeds become active, change it.

how would the feeds become active again when they have finished for
this semester?
so there is no reason for them to update their feeds ?
so just use a random feed instead for the whole thing?

Tho my point is, if the second year students have finished the
subject, they wont have the sensors hooked up to pachube any more, so
the pachube feed won't have data to read from, so means we can not use
live data from them, or am i wrong and they are still running the
sensors?

Hey Daniel,

Yeh i am wondering the same thing? i have tried to post comments on my
chosen Feed asking for them to make it active, however this hasn't
worked as its still been frozen. I Also cant find the email of the
student to email them asking the same thing.

Hey Stephen,

Yea i still havent worked anything out, i guess just use a random feed
for the whole thing?
I think emailing them is a extreme long shot, any uni student who has
already finished the subject will unlikely to be bothered to do extra
work lol :P i know i wouldn't haha
But yea the concept of using their feeds was cool, but i dont think it
was a practical option to base the 2nd assignment on

Hi Guys,

I've just given a response to Stephens question ... sorry to take so
long to get back to you both. But I've stickied the answer so it's a
little more obvious for everyone.

Good luck with the final hand in.

Cheers
