Hi guys

Im having a problem with loading my objects folder within my "Mods"
folder which contains all my exports from sketchup.
When i click 'reload' under the BRUSH tab in the roll-up bar (in
crysis) my folder will not show or appear. I was wondering if anyone
knows how to get this to come up?.

It could be a few things.
First thing to check is that you are opening Crysis using the shortcut
for your mod, ie. a shortcut with " -mod NAMEOFMOD" in the target line
(without the " ")
If that isn't the problem check to see that Sketchup is creating the
right type of file in your objects folder. The file type to look for
is .cgf (or crysis geometry file) if you don't have that then playup
is... playing up.
Last thing to check is the name and location of all your folders, an
"Object" folder instead of an "Objects" folder, for example, will
cause problems.
Hopefully that helps.
Cheers

Hey Jules I'm having a similar problem.
i figured there was something wrong with my playup (though it was
working fine for the last experiment)
as it's not making the cgf (or any other files) in my objects folder?
I uninstalled it and re-enstalled the latest playup and even with
creating new export paths it doesn't seem to work.
I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Try running sketchup as administrator (or turning your user account
control off)
It may have been working before because you had set the export path to
somewhere outside of program files (the desktop for example). However
if you set the path to the Objects folder, Sketchup is in effect
creating new files in your program files. Windows generally prevents
this to avoid people stuffing up their system files, but running a
program as administrator should get around it. Right click the
sketchup icon and "Run as Administrator" should be the second or third
option down.
If that doesn't help let me know and I'll try to think of something
else

hey shaun,

another thing to make sure is that you have got the playup for crysis
2 and not the new one for crysis 3. i had this problem because i was
using the wrong version of the playup pugin.

all good! that worked, though my material isn't showing up? I checked
the tif file in the textures folder and it's there
and I've just used a custom square jpeg for my material?

Thanks guys I'm really appreciating the help!

Try the eyedropper tool on the material to help identify what the
problem is.
The eyedropper tool is available in the material editor, the fourth
button across the top left menu bar - it says "pick material from
object" when you hover over it.
That should bring the material up in the material editor and you
should be able to see if the texture is properly assigned.
Let me know what you see, or better yet, put an image up on your blog,
and I'll see if I can figure out the problem, as it could be a variety
of things at this stage
