Hi Wayne:

I wanted to touch base with you in that I've come down with the crud.  I'm hoping to be mended enough by Friday evening to make the gig,  but it might be wise to see if the other tuba player  might be able to make it.  I'll keep you informed on how fast I'm mending.  I've had pretty good luck this last year in the crud dept. but it finally caught up with me.

The crud I've got is not abating, so it is not likely I'll be able to make on Friday.  I'm really sorry to put a crimp in the plans.  Were you able to make contact with the other tuba player?
