How reliable are classic cars?

Answer 1: It really depends on the car you're looking at. If someone has taken an old car and restored it, you'd have a really nice car that would probably be as reliable as the original was. In fact, getting one restored like this is a lot better than getting some non-maintained modern car that could end up being a real headache. 
If you're getting one that has sat in someone's garage for 30 years and the people selling it are just trying to get rid of it now, then you'd run into a lot of problems.If you want to get one from that era, then you need to look for one that is already restored.
What ever you plan on buying, have it checked out by a good mechanic.

Answer 2: Most people don't use classic cars as their "daily driver". You also run into the risk of wrecking it since you are a new driver. It would make more sense to drive something that could be more expendable until you are a little older.
