Hello again, everyone. Just a reminder about our meet next month here in Bennington. It appears as though we will have an early spring and there is no better way to kick it off than with a fun swim meet! In fact, SwimSwam recently blogged a great article from the perspective of a first-time meet swimmer (who happens to be a master):

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information about the meet...it really is a great time and I encourage everyone to consider taking the splash, especially if you haven't done it before! I am in the process of getting some goodies lined up for our fun swims in addition to free USMS caps and stickers to give away.

See you in the pool!

...mike...

Hi Mike, I'm not planning on swimming in the meet( I just don't have that competitive edge thang) but if you need help with timing I could do that possibly.
Let me know
Cheers

I just wanted to say thank you to all that came out to take part in our meet this weekend. We had seven local swimmers plus three Leake's dash through the water to some great results, all lit up on the scoreboard. In all, 36 folks came to our humble pool and spent the morning cheering one another on and giving it their all. Our friend Lisa made it up from NJ for the fifth straight year, and we even had Maurice and his teammate Liz fly in to our airport from Concord, NH!

Thanks for coming and helping to support this opportunity to compete and the Marauders! I have a write up on my swim blog here: http://forums.usms.org/entry.php?38603-04-19-16-5th-Annual-Monumental-Masters-Mini-Meet&bt=122281

I will (again) submit a report to the Banner and hope that they print it (this year).
:)
