Winter in Vermont doesn't always disappoint - how is everyone doing with the cold temps and snow? One to the benefits to this weather is that the pool has been on the cooler side this past week (practice at 78 on Tuesday - oh yeah!). Get in on it while we can!
Practices have shifted to some longer sets and a little less rest in preparation for the One Hour Swim. We have until the end of February to swim this annual treat...more details to come.
Some meet news ...
Our 7th Annual Masters meet in Bennington is scheduled for Saturday, April 7th! I would like to see more than 30 swimmers and their families come to our humble pool for some fun competition, so make sure that you make plans to join us.
In two weeks there is a meet over near Schenectady, NY. Saturday, January 20th, with warmups at 1:30pm and meet starting at 2:30pm. I am planning to have an instructional practice in the morning and then drive over for the meet in the afternoon. Gabby has printed some copies of registration forms and they are on the board near the ladies locker room at the Rec. You do have to be a registered member of USMS to swim - ask me if you need help signing up. Here is the link to the online info/registration:
Remember that this email thread in distributed to all members, so your replies will be as well. Email me directly at
