Hello again, everyone. Just a reminder that we will again be hosting a low-key, fun meet at our pool in Bennington. It is a great event for first time competitors and an overall exciting event that will serve as a fundraiser for the Marauders. This is open to anyone, even if you do not have membership to US Masters.

Please find the entry form attached. Also, remember that I have silicone team caps for sale - a bargain at $10!

Let me know if you have any questions. Email me separately at mi...@usms.org

Greetings from Vermont!

I am pleased to announce that our local masters squad will be hosting a USMS recognized mini meet this year at the end of March. We were very excited by the turnout and all-around good time these last few years, and have again teamed up with the local age group team, the Bennington Marauders, to continue a competitive swimming event for adults in southwestern Vermont, western New England, and nearby New York!

Please find the attached entry form with more specific information, and note that we will maintain "recognized" status which means that you do not have to be registered with USMS to attend (although it's a great organization to support). We will again be offering two relays and two fun "sprint" events, which will be deck seeded. Other "regular" events will be pre-seeded based on entry times, so kindly enter a time for SCY. Once I have received your entry form please expect a confirmation email from me within a week. If you do not get it, please let me know.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like more information. If you are a swim coach or swim with a group, I would appreciate it if you would pass this info on to your swimmers in order to help us get the word out about our event. Last year after the lane lines were reeled back up, many folks stayed in town and visited our historic area (including the three covered bridges within 15 miles of the pool and the tallest structure in VT, our beloved Monument) and delicious local restaurants. We encourage making this a great family day trip that just happens to include some swimming as well (I personally love when that happens)!

One stroke at a time ...
