Dear teachers,
Please see attached materials for pre-test and basic math competencies.
Also attached are foundational materials sequence for Numbers and Geometry. We will try to develop materials for prior skills for each of these topics during the year. Request all to contribute activities and lessons.

Dear teachers,
For your review and feedback and use in classrooms, some materials are attached.
(i) Quizzes with problems at Class 3-5 and Class 6-8 levels; these are meant as activities / questions with teaching opportunities. Some of these have been tried in some classes already. (We also noticed a couple of mistakes in the answers :-[ ; please help refine this) [ File 1 amd 2]
(ii) Also attaching a pretest for class 8 and 9. Meant to test aptitude/ math competencies at the level of class 8/9 and not content at class 8 and 9. The hope is that we can group students by levels based on this assessment and work with multiple level materials. The suggestion is to do the quizzes first followed by the test. The question paper is bilingual. [File 3 and 4]
(iii) Also, attaching an outline of foundational materials - if we can map required math competencies, for each concept and then build a bridge course accordingly, we may be able to make some progress in numeracy skills of our students; of course, we need to critically look at the syllabus and see how to meaningfully work through the syllabus. [File 5 and 6]
All of these materials are draft for review, comments and feedback.
Please share your responses and experiences in class and feedback on materials. Please edit as you think fit and we can upload on KOER.
