All,

I mentioned that I have a variety of spare items for my 461 that I no longer need as they don't fit my new 54. Lots of people seem interested and I heard no opposition to posting the inventory to the mailing list. So, before I put them on Ebay to seek market prices, everything is being offered to the community first.

The sails will of course fit lots of other similar sized boats, and other pieces of hardware including the Lewmar ball bearing racing blocks, anchor rode etc should fit many boats.

The sails should be an exact fit for: Oceanis 461, Moorings 463, Oceanis 440, Moorings 445, or Oceanis 44 Center Cockpit as they all use exactly the same rig. The First 45f5 uses exactly the same headsails and spinnakers, but has a larger main.

Please reply individually only to me to prevent flooding the list.

Things that aren't sails:
New with sticker Beneteau stock fixed 3 blade prop to fit the 30mm tapered shaft, with a propnut, and a beneteau cone zinc, never been wet. $150

30mm donut zinc (about 1" wide), $10. If I wasn't lazy I could return it for $30. Useful if you've put on a shaftsaver/flexible coupling/etc. as it is same OD as the sterntube and smooths waterflow.

Factory Sentry battery charger capable of 3 banks. Forget how many amps til I get home. runs on 110-240. Heavy for shipping, special price $75, sailorman in florida was selling these for $200+

Spare main halyard. 7/16 Samson Ultra-Tech. White with red/yellow/blue flecks. Dirty, needs a wash. I think right about 135 feet. first $50 get it.

Big 105mm roller bearing fiddleblock with becket for the mainsheet to replace the sheave bearing fiddleblock supplied as standard. Very easy swap from the stock block to this, and this is the only siutable block. Fits the stock traveller car which has a "size 3" upstand, or if you replace the car as I did, still the same fiddleblock needed. This is a $900 block that makes an incredible difference in mainsheet handling. First $400 and you get a steal.

Z-spar mast base swivel adapters which allow you to use other blocks (roller bearing) instead of the zspar plain sheave blocks and signficantly reduce friction. I think I have 6 left. $20 each

Lewmar 80mm racing (ball bearing, metal frame) blocks. swap these out for the mainsheet blocks hanging on the boom, and for other mast base blocks when combined with the mast base adapters, and you'll be amazed how much easier sail hoisting, trimming, and etc become. I probably have 10 of these left.  These are not the plastic framed less expensive "control" blocks. WestMarine special sale price is $116 each. Beneteau USA is selling these exact blocks for $124.99 on Ebay right now. Best used price I've seen on Ebay is $105 for these. I'll sell them for $85 each.

Complete factory hose kit for the Westerbeke 63C4 engine, in a Westerbeke zippered bag, $50

Complete factory minor spares kit for the Westerbeke 63C4 engine, in a westerbeke drybox, I think has 100% contents, might be missing a filter, but will throw in a handful of new in box Westerbeke oil filters and Dayco belts and probably a westerbeke fuel filter I think I have also, $100. Note this is not the spares kit that includes an injector or it'd be another $200 more. Whoever gets this also gets (if I find them) a new never installed plexiglass engine panel cover, a spare overflow tank, and whatever other engine related spares I happen to find.

Anchor rode. 150' of ACCO 5/16 G-40 High Test chain spliced to 200' of Yale Premium 5/8" three strand rode.  Has been used, but in excellent condition. Hard to ship but we'll figure something out. $300 which is less than 25% of replacement cost.

Sails
(461 rig specs are I 54.5 J 15.9  P 46.9  E 17.1)

Most sails have stick on sail numbers.

Delivery/spare/winter season headsail, dacron, $400, dirty but usable, I think it is a 150

Delivery/spare/winter season mainsail, dacron crosscut (4) full batten pockets (no battens included), set up to use with the harken battcar system on devocean's mast (means that there are holes drilled where the batten cars would clamp on, but sail does have a conventional boltrope), $400, dirty but usable.

(I put the above on over each winter so I could sail the boat without worry about cold gusty winds or winter grime harming the high performance sails)

Kevlar/mylar #3 headsail, with battens, breakaway zip sausage bag, $1000. Price to condition excellent value.

Storm jib, constructed completely of ORC orange sail cloth. Made by Neil Pryde specifically for my 461, has luff tape to fit furler as well as grommets to allow lashing and hoisting over furled sail if needed. I think there are even sheets attached already. Never flown except in practice sessions, basically in as new condition. Replacement cost over $1000, seeking $600

Storm Trysail, constructed completely of ORC orange sail cloth. Made by Neil Pryde specifically for my 461, has metal sliders for standard 7/8" trysail track. I think there are even sheets and a tackline attached already. Never flown except in practice sessions, basically in as new condition. Replacement cost over $1000, seeking $500

AP symmetric spinnaker, full PHRF/IMS size, Neil Pryde .75 ounce, dark blue, with launch bag, had a horizontal tear near head panel easily but professionally repaired by the loft, hard to tell it was done if didn't know about it but disclosing, $1000

Asymmetric spinnaker, custom smaller ~165 pct for singlehanded and/or heavy wind, Neil Pryde, custom .75 ounce with 1.5 ounce uff and foot panels, solid deep red color, with ATN sock and launch bag, $1400. One loft sewn patch to repair a snag, either one or two sticky patches over tiny snags. Incredible versatile sail.

Asymmetric spinnaker, ~180 pct, North, I think .85 poly, no sock, alternating white and pink colors, with launch bag, $1600. this is a fantastic sail. absolutely fantastic.

Carbon forespar spinnaker pole custom made for devocean, with (3) extra kevlar reinforcements in the layup at tip and shroud/stay distances, and forespar T-125 trigger track car and storage saddle car (the T-125 car alone is $499 at west marine), composite UTR/UTS ends, forespar custom awlgrip artic white over fairing, fairing has one chip, $1600 for pole and car together.

I'm sure I'll find more stuff.

Reminder, please make sure your reply comes only to me,  markd...@hotmail.com, so that replies to this don't annoy the entire list.

All,

I should have mentioned a few things, and remembered more items:

1. I prefer check or money order or cash or barter, but have a paypal account that can take payments by credit cards if needed.

2. all items are in the NYC metro area, actually Jersey City NJ, and I'll happily work with pickup or shipping carrier of buyer's choice, but as shipping costs are highly variable each buyer has to cover their own cost of shipping. But if you know anyone travelling through NYC by air or train or car, anything but the rode or battery charger could probably travel as either carryon or an extra checked bag.

3. Items of barter interest for me which list members might have removed from a boat or have as extras, so if you've got any o fthese you might want to trade in full or part: certain wind generators, specific solar panels for width, hydronic heating system components, spinnaker and headsails to fit a boat with 65' I and 22' J, babystay adjuster, monitor windvane, fishing gear, Schaefer stanchion base furling line blocks, maybe a 9.9 outboard 2stroke

A few more items for the list:
A Westerbeke stock alternator, I think it is a 65Amp. Great as a spare or to rig up as a dual alternator. Uses standard automotive style V belt, so would be too much trouble to switch the pulley to the funky belt on the new boat's engine. $100?

Standard Horizon "Intrepid" DSC VHF radio (fixed mount base), supports RAM full function remote microphone (RAM not included), $65, great as a locker spare.

Navy/White Henri Lloyd Men's XL foul weather jacket. Forget which model, CP1000 or something. Not goretex,  but latex cuffs and pullout hood and loops for inflatable PFD and etc. We have 9 sets of matching red fwg and this one blue jacket that sticks out like a sore thumb so it never gets used. $50 to move it to a good home where it'll actually maybe be used instead of lingering in the hanging locker forever. Excellent nearly untouched condition.
