I have a Beneteau 373 with a folding prop. The folding prop needs to be rebuilt. I want to get a fixed blade prop to install. That way I can minimize storage charge in a yard and use the boat in the interim.

Has anyone done this? Is it a simple changeout?

Best regards

If you know the diameter and pitch plus shaft dims it’s and easy change to a fixed propeller.

My 2- I would be concerned about the loss of performance with a fixed prop, from motoring in reverse to increased prop walk, and maneuverability. Folding prop also decreases drag while under sail affecting speed.
