We chartered a Beneteau in the BVI that had a great light at the front end of the cockpit table that we just plugged in at night and unplugged during the day to get it out of the way.  We just purchased a Beneteau 411 and would love to have a light like that but I can't seem to find who makes them. I would imagine they are for charter boats, but it was very handy and a great light.  Anyone else see anything like this?  I think we have a light in front of the steering wheel that shines onto the cockpit table, but this other one looked nice.  Thanks!

That light was standrad and came with my B-49 from factory. Check with Beneteau Part dept. I think they have them.

You might want to look it up on the Beneteau on line parts.

It is used on the 46 and 49 later models .

Not sure how you would mount it on a 411 but perhaps it would work.

It does look nice on 49 with the dual wheels and big cockpit.

Most of the stuff from Beneteau is reasonable with the exception of their own one off items such as drop boards and skylights.

Crazy price for new drop boards for my 400. Just wish I could find plexiglass or acrylic in the B Green and one could mill a set if drop boards

Mine look pretty tough these days.

The boat we chartered was a Moorings 40.3, but they also referred to it as their 41 foot.  It did have dual wheels and a nice cockpit.  The light was plugged into the top of the cockpit table - at the forward end.

The only Beneteau on line parts that I can find when googling it directs me to Beneteauowners.com. and I don't see anything listed there.  I don't see any parts or ordering on beneteau.com either.

Go to the B Selious web site for parts, mine was standard on a 2010 O 50. Just order the light and socket

Have you checked Beneteau spare parts?

Try the commercially available bronze color instead of the Beneteau green - I think you might like it.

Beneteau parts may sell that cheaper than a purchase from Europe - that is standard on my Oceanis 54 and other current models.

Look at something like http://www.ebay.com/itm/12-x-12-1-2-480-THICK-LEXAN-POLYCARBONATE-CLEAR-SHEET-/281634246499?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4192b58f63 who has lexan 1/2 thick at $9 a square foot, and will make custom sizes. Could tell him you need x" by y" overall, and for drop boards then have it taper cut, round the bottom corners by tracking from the current drop boards. Mitre cut across it at a 45 degree angle locally (or perhaps he or other vendor can do it).

Allow a bit extra for the overall height of course, as if you cross-cut, the saw blade scarf and then sanding will take away as much as 1/8" each per cross-cut. That 1/4" resultant shortening for two cross cuts might make the gap at the top too big for your liking.

Whatever happened to Lexan NOT being the best choice...while it is bullet proof, it easily scratches.

Plexiglass is much cheaper too.

Yhen there is starboard if you want privacy and keep the sunlight out.
