Our hull is: BEY61001H495

Breaks down as follows:
BEY = Beneteau
610 = model code for Oceanis 321
01 = hull number in the manufacturing/production run
H = month of manufacturer (August)
95 = year of manufacturer

Bob,
you didn't specify what information the 4 (between the 01 and H) conveys

Ours - BEY74282L899

Asked Beneteau the same question and was told:

BEY = Manufacturer (Beneteau)
74 = model code for Oceanis 352
282 = Hull number for the production run
L = Month of manufacture (December)
8 = Year of manufacture (1998)
99 = Model year

The story - Our Beneteau (BEY) Oceanis 352 (74) was hull number 282.  This 19(99) model year boat was built in December (L) of 199(8).

Depends on the year of the boat. My hull number is different for a
1991.
