Trying to understand how to activate the LED cockpit light located just outside the companionway hatch in the cockpit, above deck level.

Is this somehow activated by the light switch attached to the rear of the steering pedestal as that too does not work ?

thanks
Simon

You need a FOB to turn it on and off.

It comes up about once a year.  Quite often that keychain fob doesn't get passed from one owner to the next. You can get one from Beneteauparts (although I know there is some turmoil as to whether you can buy direct these days or via a dealer).

But before you do

Take a look around the boat, see if the fob has been left in the nav console or a drawer etc
Send a quick email the previous owner, they may still have it on their key chain

There is a post over on sailboat owners.com that suggests this is a third party solution and fobs are available at West MArine

Here is the post to sailboat owners

Here is what I found at WM - its the complete install not just the fob though

The receiver for this Fob is located under the Nav station seat (in my boat B 49). You can get the brand and model number.

HI Mohammed,

You gave me useful info on removing ceiling panel on 411.  I am now changing the spinlock  jammer on the starboard side but it does not seem as simple and I do not want to force it.   Anymore help?

Hi,
I don't know the set up on your boat.
I know the Jammers are attached to the cabin roof with through bolts in my boat. I assume you have to remove the roof liner.
A good thorough dose of WD40 might get it working.
Let me know what you find out.
