I need to replace the Piezo ignitor in my Force 10 Two Burner Stove, but it appears that Force 10 does not have it any longer. Does anybody happen to know of an alternative source? I guess I could use a lighter but of course the ignitor would be better.

Alberto,

I have attached the technical manual for Force10 stoves. It lists all the part numbers you can possibly need. I have learned that the ignition mechanism is behind the oven/grill regulator knob. Individual burner regulator knobs only have micro switches, combined in a harness that leads back to the oven regulator knob. Which harness you need depends on the number of burners on the stove (2-burner, 3-burner, or 4-burner harness). However, the first thing to check if you're getting no spark is the battery, mounted at the bottom of the stove.

This is from my recent correspondence with Ocean Solutions:

*********
In regards to the spark ignition: refer to the valve diagram on page 14 of the attached manual. The problem you describe is likely associated with the micro-switches behind the control knobs. Often cleaning the switch contacts is all that is required to restore function. To access the micro-switches first remove all burner knobs (pull hard) then remove the fascia panel (the (3) screws near the front of the top tray hold the panel in place - undo these and the gimbal lock pins then pull the panel towards you).
If this does not solve the problem you can stretch or replace the springs (part no. 10 on the diagram) to give the switch a firmer contact and or replace the entire micro-switch harness. Bear in mind that depressing the oven/grill will spark all burners.
Here is a list of parts that you may need:

Micro-switch Harness 2 Burner - Part No. 89226 $ $39.00
Micro-switch Harness Springs - Part No. 89826 $ 2.99

I have just recently obtained a bunch of spares for my two burner Force 10 stove from:

Hope this helps.
