Can anyone give me the approximate height of the mast from the water
line of a Oceanis 351.
Thanks from a new member.

One "For Sale" item claimed the Air Draft of the 351 to be 16m.

Approximate?

When it comes to mast height, draft, even length/beam I don't like approximate.

There is a marina near me and when I called about going there they said "how much do you draw?". Click. (I'm a coward when it comes to clearances).

Lakepilot,
47" 11" per Beneteau specifications.
Your height may vary. But probably will be lower, don't forget to
account for the VHF antenna and anything else you have up there.

Mark,
Excuse me but we should know our vessels dimensions
Draft, Length (LOL & LWL), Beam and Air Draft.
Measure draft when on the hard form the scum line to the keel.
Length and beam are easier and if you don't believe published figures
from either Beneteau or your dealer,
Air Draft can be measured by a trip up the mast while on the hard to
the scum water line.
These are important and you should know yours with high confidence.
IMHO

Oh I agree, that's why I say "approximate"

I also know my dimensions but I find that some marine individuals are less than precise with theirs -

The 40ft slip that was only 35ft
The 15ft wide slip that was 18" too narrow
The 6ft channel that we touched bottom in

My point? - Both dimensions need to be accurate.

I would not do the air draft while on the hard if at all possible. It is just as easy afloat and much less risky.
