Our 1993 model 35S5 has toerail-mounted triangular stanchion bases. I
believe the maker is Goiot (Beneteau part #002877). The bases are
bolted to the deck. I'd like to replace a couple of bases with some
spares on hand, but I worry that the bolts may be fastened under the
deck with nuts and that I might lose the nuts when I remove the old
bases. At that point I would have to tear up the cabin interior to
get to the deck underside. Am I off base on this nuts question (or
perhaps nuts about this base question)? Thanks.

Yes, the present-design stanchion bases are held on by a single large nut, 22 mm socket, I believe.  I'm not sure what you mean by losing the nuts.  You have to loosen the nuts from below to remove the bases, so you will have them contained in a socket wrench (or other style wrench, if you can find one that will fit in the space).  So you must tear up the interior no matter what, in order to access the nuts.  And even if you could somehow get them off without accessing the nuts, you would have to get to them in order to install the new ones, right?

I guess I was holding out some small hope that the thru-deck bolt
attached to some threaded fixed terminus in the decking, so that I
could unbolt from the top without tearing the interior apart.

Yes, the stanchion bases are through bolted. The interior liner needs to
be pulled back for access and re glued when finished
