Hello All,
When I hauled the boat last week there was nothing left to see of the prop zinc, or the collar zinc for the shaft (not certain there was one on the shaft). I had to leave the boat and can’t get back til it’s time to splash so I can’t measure anything. Boat is a 96’ Oceanis 440 and the configuration is similar to the attached photo (not my boat).
If any of you know the size(s) of these two zincs it would be an enormous help. Or a lead to a supplier who keeps records of what zinc fits which boat. Boatzincs.com lists lots of Beneteau specific collar and prop zincs but when I called they said they don’t cross ref by boat model.
Thanks for any help.

Try BoatZincs.com. The customer service guy there will know exactly what you need.

I’ve used them for 3 years now for my Beneteau 323 and they’re fast. And they ship. And what they send fits perfectly. I do use a collar zinc and another zinc on the nose of the prop.

And they have metric sizes.

Good luck.

Oops. Sorry that’s what happens when I all the way down.

If it is any help my 323 takes the Beneteau to 22/25 mm prop zinc. And the Beneteau donut collar 25 mm zinc. I realize your vessel is much larger, but it may give the folks at BoatZincs an idea of where to start.

Good luck.

George,

The shaft diameter on a 440 would be 30mm.

I did a bottom job in January and the shaft on my 1993 440 is 30mm. Zincs were hard to find due to supply chain issues. I bought the last two at my local west marine. I was able to use the full size zinc but have heard others only have clearance for the narrow donut.

Bill,
I think you are right, I can't properly measure as she is berthed in wet storage but it also depends on the engine.
What engine do you have? I have a Perkins Prima M80 (78HP/Turbo) and shaft size may differ slightly, I would refer to the engine's specifications just to be sure.

Best,

Jon

Jon,

While I no longer have my B 42s7 my 1994 unit had a Yanmar 4JH3 normally aspirated engine.
