Gelcoat color

My bendy is a 1999 Oceanis 44cc which has just sustained some gelcoat
damage to the stern as a result of a failed marina line. Whilst the
hull is blue, the stern is white (all original). The question is what
color white did (do) Beneteau use? I assume they used the same color
wherever the boat was built - in my case, France?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I am not certain if the color is the same as NA boats however spectrum gel coat supplies B in North America. Todd has the match numbers.

I got a qt for my 96 400 and it matches

Beneteau uses a custom blend of colors for their "white" that includes a yellow and maybe a brown/ black... the gel coat is a combination of colors not unlike when one goes to the home store for a custom color... then there is the issue of oxydation... Beneteau USA has gelcoat available in quarts only and they may give you their formula... I have had good results in having the yard match the gelgoat for small repairs... They have a tint kit they use to get the correct match... the experience factor (and supplies etc) is worth the extra expense in letting a pro do it

I second that advice.

this is the sort of repair that you want to have trouble finding once the repair is complete. without some real world experience, the average guy is not going to get it to look that good. the yard may have a specialist that can get thru this much quicker and easier or they may already use a local gel coat repair guy. either option is the best way to get good results.

Call the factory and they will send you the right stuff. Simple. We have bought gel coat from B and it works great. Give them the type and hull number and you will be golden. World wide!

Agree with Cap on the factory, I had good luck on matching the color with what they supplied on my 42cc ( French Boat), but found out that  iBoats sells the same spectrum gel coat they supplied at a little cheaper price than Beneteau. Check this link out they seem to have all years covered.
