While working on the nav lights, I noticed that I had no voltage at the aft light.  Looked at the distribution terminal strips.  Found two #16 wires teisted and forced into a hole sized for one #16.  I can deal with that but I could not figure out how to actually connect the wire to the terminal block It won't just push in.   Any suggestions?

Rich,
From the 351 manual.  You need a very small screwdriver (flat blade) that inserts and realeases the connector. An old time TV Engineer's "greenie" screwdriver is perfect though some jewelers type will likely work fine too.  Gots to be gentle on these Wago blocks.

Crazy that somebody wired it that way . . .

Rich,
To add, in the case of the connector you show, the release should be in the slot shown by the yellow arrow:

All I know this is an old post but I'm hoping someone can assist me too.  As you can see from the attached picture I've got some corrosion issues.  I'd like to take things apart for cleaning.  How do I get the connectors pointed to off?  Looks like I need to use multiple screw drivers at the same time.  Thoughts?

It may be that the upper arrow is also pointing to a "plug-in" unit.  I also see corrosion off to the left.  I would consider replacing rather than cleaning.

Hope you found and sealed the water leak.

Thanks Rich.

Yeah I've been googling like crazy and learning about Wago systems.  Searching Wago "plug-in" unit helps a little but I'm still trying to figure out how to remove them.  Removing a single connector is easy but how do I remove a "plug-in" unit that has multiple connectors simultaneously engaged?  Replacement will definitely happen during the off-season but for now I'd like to clean them up.

One suggestion for all owners with a Wego electrical panel

Take a large blade screwdriver and tighten all of main power leads to the panel. Both the negative and positive large cables.

Over time with the engine vibration etc they can loosen.

This can specially cause a voltage drop with the refrigerator.

On my boat ( a few years ago). I had a .5 voltage difference between the batteries and the panel.

The negative was just a little loose, this was the issue.

Good and simple maintenance

you can also use an electrical connection paste like 847 within those terminal blocks to minimize future corrosion and help improve connectivity. As I recall it contains carbon or similar

Thanks Mark.  Definitely a good idea.  I'll get some electrical connection paste to use once I get everything apart and cleaned up.

You can get a Wago "Operating Tool" set designed to use to open the Wago connector ports at www.Galco.com

Thanks Uwe.  Yesterday I managed to get one of the connectors in question out.  Had to jam a small screwdriver simultaneously into each hole for it to release.  The one I got out was only three pins so not too bad.  Some of them have nearly 10 pins.  I'm sure they'll prove to be much more difficult.

seems like a tool could be made here for 2, 5, 10 wago connector blocks to depress the terminals in unison. small block of aluminum and some pins (maybe cut-off nails with rounded ends)
