One yajna is dealt with in a more enthusiastic way than another. Yesterday, my father in law, Rohini Putra prabhu, left his body in Mayapur, between 14u30 and 15u00. His future is no doubt glorious. Imagine to have 7 children and every single one is a devotee; 5 initiated.
He left his body in Mayapur in an apartementbuilding where devotees worship Saligram Sila, kirtan was held in the room and holy items like Tulasi leaf, flower garland etc., where put on his body and… the first day of kirtan mela was in full swing.
As he requested not to loose any time with usual formalities, we started asap with the cremation ceremony. I had the honour of helping out to carry him past Srila Prabhupada Samadhi and finally to Prabhupada Ghata.
So all in all many auspicious circumstances where there, but still i would like you to say a little prayer for him. Although not entirely unexpected, many of the family members where clearly distressed, but luckily we had great help of local devotees for the final ceremony. Please, if you can also say a prayer for them, including Rangavati.
Sunday 2 more brother in law’s will join us here. The nearest and dearest family members will all be there then.
Always praying for the mercy of the devotees, your servant,
Acyuta Jagannatha Das
Hare Krishna Acyuta Jagannatha prabhu
Please accept my humble obeisances
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Condolences from us too, to all of you, especially your wife.
I also think it's no doubt about his destination.
