Last week I shared that after 9 years, I was retiring the Metaphysician’s Day Planner. At the time I really wanted to close this chapter, due to the investment of time and labor creating customized day planners takes. It became a bit unsustainable for me to handle, but not wanting to leave anyone who has come to rely on it in a lurch, I offered all the past templates freely for download from my website, so the past work could live on in your hands, customized to your preferences and specifications. By the way, a link to those freely downloadable templates is HERE (benebellwen.com/2025/09/15/create-your-own-day-planner).

And then here’s what happened next. So many of you reached out to me with heartfelt letters and honestly, I had no idea my little day planner meant so much to so many of you, or was able to support so many of you achieving so much! Wow. Impressive! Secondly, I sat down to create my own personal planner for 2026 (but also, I was designing the planner for a couple of close in-real-life friends). I found myself redesigning, refining, and reshaping the very bones of the thing I had retired. I mean it’s not significantly different, but I’d say different enough. It’s got a couple of really cool new adds, and some of the obsolete or frankly fluffy no-one-cares stuff taken out. I had a couple of specific friends I was making this for in mind, in addition to making the planner for myself. These friends are beginner metaphysicians, in a manner of speaking. =) So I knew I would have to add more hand-holding reference material. Those are the bulk of the new adds.

The labor-intensive part, which was the Metaphysician’s Guide, the extra handbook you get with the Day Planner with all the astrological forecasts for the year, is truly retired and gone. It’s only that Day Planner everyday organizer part that remains.

And instead of the $25 it was for the last 9 years, this 2026 version will be $17 only. This version is just the core planner, still personalized with your birth chart and solar return chart (per birth day, not per sun sign degree, FYI). And because it’s not the full package it was in previous years, it’s $17. Note to those who already donated: Sit tight, don't send any more money -- you will be getting an email from us (James, actually) confirming that we'll send you your 2026 Day Planner in thanks, so please don't send the $17 if you've already donated.

So many of you reached out to me in private emails and messages letting me know how much the Day Planner has meant to you over the years, and it has meant just as much if not more to me, too. Hence a bit of backpedaling now and “just kidding!” If you would still like just the Day Planner for 2026, it’s still going to be offered.

Here’s what the leaner 2026 Day Planner pack features:

Size Options. You can still choose from the following size options:

§  Trade Paperback, 6” x 9” or 15.24 cm x 22.86 cm

§  US Letter, 8.5” x 11”

§  A4 European, 21.0 cm x 29.7 cm

Custom Features.

§  Custom keyword or phrase you want featured on the front cover page (or, alternatively, just your name, so the day planner is customized with your name on the front page)

§  Your birth chart (so we will need your date of birth, time of birth, and city, state or province, and country of birth)

§  Solar return chart for 2026 (we will need the city, state or province, and country of residence you’ll be in for 2026)

Then it’s going to have the features the day planner itself had from last year, plus the following new additions:

New Additions (different from the 2025 day planner) Note: These images are of the Trade Paperback version. Due to size differences, the layout is slightly different in the US Letter and A4 to accommodate the different size papers.

01 Hexagram Forecasts.jpg

The I Ching hexagram correspondence based on the lunisolar calendar year (think “tarot card year,” but with the I Ching) and the bi-monthly forecasts for 2026 based on the hexagram correspondence.

02 Project Page Spread.jpg

Four two-page spreads for tracking four of your projects in 2026. I am going to track four personal/professional projects for 2026, and figured this particular layout would be useful for me, and maybe it’ll be useful for you, too.

I don’t mean to limit you to four, but like, we both figure more than four is too much, too ambitious, not gonna happen, right? And if you end up going with less than four, it’s not too difficult to just cut-pate collage something else onto those extra pages. Right?

03 Quarterly Planning Pages.jpg

In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I changed up the quarterly planning pages a bit, taking out all that extraneous text and fixed categories. Because maybe those fixed categories don’t work for everybody. They didn’t even always work for me and I freakin’ created the darn thing. So now it’s just blank, as you can see above, and you this makes these page spreads a whole lot more versatile.

04 Month at a Glance 1.jpg

There’s a bit more added to the month-at-a-glance section this year. First, the mundane page spread for each month, as you see above. To the left are lines for you to write out quick event planning notes next to the monthly calendar. Just a reminder that all times are per Pacific Time Zone, so make sure you do the conversion to your time zone.

05 Ephemeris Table.jpg

We still have the ephemeris tables for the sacred seven, but now all in one consolidated section. Here’s what’s new, and exciting: Now you can be a total astrology beginner and right there included in your day planner/organizer are pages explaining what each of these planets in the signs mean, in terms of global forecasting.

06 Global Forecasting MOON.jpg

Now you’re learning what astrologers call “mundane astrology,” which is the branch of astrology for predicting global events. Like you see above, if in the ephemeris table you see that the moon is in Leo for Jan. 4 and 5, you can then turn to the global forecasting reference pages to look up what moon in Leo means in terms of universal prevailing themes on those days. And marry that with the moon phase correspondence.

07 Global Forecasting JUPITER SATURN.jpg

There are reference pages for the sacred seven and all of the transits you see in the 2026 ephemeris tables, so now you can look each one up and know what, say, Venus in Cancer and Mars in Pisces means in terms of a global forecast, or the implications of Jupiter retrograde in Leo late in 2026, or the implications of Saturn in Aries for most of the year.

I should also note the formatting and layout changes in the daily pages, or the week-at-a-glance page spreads. First, as you can see, it’s cleaner, more minimalist, and less super-specific content prompts, and no more “inspirational quotes” or whatever those mantras were in the footers of past versions. For 2026, it’s no frills, but more space for writing.

Grimoire Pages. The “grimoire” end pages or metaphysical correspondence reference tables that I like to always have on hand, easily accessible in my planner/organizer, remain the same from past years, with the addition of a new tarot page spread, in addition to the past one with the keywords. The new tarot page spread contains archetype and divine epithet correspondences for each of the 78 cards. There's also going to be a little bit more fleshed out in these pages, with the beginner in mind.

Bonus Orientation Videos. Along with the e-delivery of the day planner files, I'll re-send that old step by step video tutorial on how to upload your day planner, choose your own custom planner cover art design, and use Lulu.com to print out the planner. I'll also create a new video for total beginners on how to navigate the ephemeris tables + the references I've provided to understand the mundane astrology for each day of the year, per the sacred seven.
