Hammerfest Time in Bend!

Thankfully Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend which marks the resumption of the Tuesday night Hammerfest ride which leaves from Sunnyside Sports. As is tradition, the ride will depart at 5:30pm until the 1st Tuesday after tax day. So the ride will leave at 6pm starting on April 22nd.

I normally wouldn't post this to OBRA since this is Bend specific ride but people may be over visiting during the season and often wonder when the rides are.

Time to put some air in the road tires!

So here is a crazy though ... has the Hammer ride ever considered alternating directions for the loop?
While I like all the twists and turns that the clockwise loop presents ... I would be into trying to alternate (week by week) CW and CCW.

Looking at the route ... there are not too many more turns across traffic in the CCW loop.

Heresy!...actually a few years ago we did exactly that on Thursdays. IMO it doesn't flow quite as well but was doable. If you are interested in such a proposal, send it out to the group. I am just a faithful email servant of the group!
