Skyline Forest Updates?

Will be moving out towards west side of town and excited to check out all the fire/logging roads but have seen some stories regarding a potential sale of Skyline Forest, which apparently is northwest of town leading up to Sisters.  Haven't seen any updates of recent, but is there serious risk to having access to this roads for gravel riding?  

Just a long-time roadie that would like to have some more riding options.  And looking forward to joining the Commons Gravel ride soon!
