Rules of Use: Reminder

Hi Bend Cyclists,

As we come up on the end of the year, a few have suggested that this would be a great time to remind everyone about the purpose of this e-community and some general guidelines on what content/posts are appropriate (and not), as well as general rules of engagement:

• Feel free to post about cycling in general, but this group is specifically interested in local rides, races, and other cycling news and events. 
• Cycling-related, for-sale-by-owner posts are also acceptable.
• When replying to messages, please be considerate and think about the tone of your responses (e.g., would you be okay receiving a snarky response? Email tone can be perceived far differently than an in-person message).
• When replying to messages, determine whether the entire community needs to see your reply ("reply all), or if it's best sent only to the individual who sent it (reply) - choose your reply option accordingly.
• If you're selling other gear that isn't related to cycling (e.g., iPhones, or are looking to sell dryer vent cleaning services, LOL),  please post in a more appropriate forum. Most of these types of posts will get the user banned if they're repeat offenders.
• While we understand that there are a lot of small businesses out there that want to market their cycling products and services, please refrain from posting commercial messages. If someone is asking a question (e.g., where to get a bike fit), it's perfectly fine to respond directly to the individual promoting your product or service.
• Similar to above, if a group member is asking questions about "where to go for..." it's fine for MEMBERS to respond to the group with suggestions.

If anything is unclear or you have other thoughts, definitely reply (not reply all!) and let me know.
