Bend Church Canoe and Kayaking

Greetings,
Our next Bend Church outing will be a canoe, kayak, and standup paddleboard paddling trip. It will be this weekend, during the Church Campout. Since we will be camping at Elk Lake, we will take the opportunity to go paddling on nearby Hosmer Lake. If you don't know about Hosmer Lake, it is one of the very finest paddling lakes in Oregon. We'll plan to going Sabbath afternoon after church (8/26/17). Even if you don't come and camp at the campout, you can still come for the day and enjoy some fantastic flatwater paddling.
We will have to play it a little by ear, since I don't know when people will be done with church and lunch afterwords. Let's say around 2:30pm to 3:00pm. You will need a Northwest Forest Pass to park at the boat launch. You can get one at various retailers around town (NF office, REI, etc.). I don't know if you can get it at the boat launch on the day off the event. We could also carpool from the Little Fawn campground since it is only a mile or two apart. We could fill up those truck beds...
