Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Hybrid Cloud – OCI, AWS, On-Prem)
Client: State of NC
Location: Tennessee, Hybrid-Locals Only
Duration: 12+ Months
 
Multiple years of hands-on enterprise Oracle database support
Strong SQL and PL/SQL background
Good command of Linux Operating system (Redhat or Oracle) and Shell scripting
Deep understanding of ORACLE database concepts, including process, memory, storage, ASM management, DR and Cloud infrastructure.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, SAFe SPC, ICP-ACC/ATF, PMP transitioning to agile)
Provide 24/7 support as part of an on-call rotation.
Implement and manage RMAN backup strategies across hybrid environments.
Maintain and test disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, Active Data Guard).
Enforce database security standards including encryption (TDE), patching, and access controls.
Develop automation using Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager.
Support enterprise data initiatives including data cataloging, lineage, and quality controls.
