Dear colleagues,

If you live in Europe and are planning a research visit (in Europe or elsewhere) before September 30, you can consider to apply for a "short term scientific mission" within our COST action on Improving Applicability of Nature-Inspired Optimisation by Joining Theory and Practice (ImAppNIO). Info on https://imappnio.dcs.aber.ac.uk/stsms  will be updated soon.

Very light-weight application process. All topics related to evolutionary computation, query-based optimization, etc. are welcomed! We even have a working group on benchmarking, so this topic is perfectly in scope!

Please feel free to circulate within your circles.

Best wishes,
Carola Doerr, CNRS researcher at LIP6, Sorbonne Université

Dear All,

I hope this email finds you well and you are able to stay safe and sane in these difficult times.

We finally have the 'all go' for our (very unusual) fifth grant period. We will not have a meeting but plan to spend the whole grant amount (roughly €30k) on STSMs and ITC CGs.

Realistically, the last day to _*end*_ an STSM or conference attendance is 30th September 2020.

You can encode your applications via the e-COST platform and contact us via stsm-i...@aber.ac.uk (for both, STSMs and ITC CGs).

As always, details about rules and eligibility can be found in the Vademecum:

All the best,
Thomas
