Collecting perf counters in executions built by Bazel?

Hello,

I'd like to collect perf counters for my benchmark that's built using Bazel. I see instructions for this for cmake here, but not sure how to adapt these for Bazel builds. Has anybody tried this?

i think you'd want to link to libpfm and define HAVE_LIBPFM.

those two things are all the cmake version does.

i'm not sure how you detect if libpfm is available in bazel  though.
