Job Title: Azure infrastructure Architect with cloud migration
Location: Remote, Client Facing
Engagement Type: Contract
Duration: 6+ Months
Start: Immediate

Role Overview
An Azure Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The role involves leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives, assessing existing on-premises environments, defining migration strategies, and ensuring successful adoption of Azure cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect Azure-based infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Develop cloud migration strategies, roadmaps, and target-state architectures.
  • Assess existing infrastructure and applications and recommend migration approaches (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain, or replace).
  • Lead end-to-end migrations from on-premises data centers or other cloud platforms to Azure.
  • Design hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity solutions using Azure networking services.
  • Implement security, governance, disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability architectures.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Optimize cloud performance, scalability, reliability, and cost management.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and operations teams to support cloud transformation initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Network (VNet), Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup.
  • Experience with Azure cloud migration tools and frameworks, including Azure Migrate.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, identity and access management, and hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, PowerShell, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Strong architecture design, documentation, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
