Role Summary
We’re looking for a T-SQL System Analyst to bridge business requirements and database solutions.
You’ll analyze existing systems, design T-SQL solutions, and ensure our SQL Server environment supports reliable reporting, performance, and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis:
Work with business users and stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into technical specs for database solutions
T-SQL Development: Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and complex queries in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022
System Support:
Troubleshoot production data issues, performance bottlenecks, and job failures.
Provide root cause analysis and resolution
Data Modeling:
Assist with logical/physical data model changes, indexing strategies, and partitioning for scalability
ETL & Integration:
Build and maintain T-SQL based ETL processes.
Work with SSIS, APIs, or other tools to support data movement
Documentation:
Maintain technical docs, data dictionaries, lineage, and runbooks for supported systems
Quality & Governance:
Implement data validation, enforce coding standards, and support audit/compliance requests
Collaboration:
Partner with DBAs, developers, BI teams, and QA to deliver end-to-end solutions
Required Qualifications
3+ years hands-on T-SQL development in Microsoft SQL Server environments
Strong grasp of query tuning, execution plans, indexing, and SQL Server performance concepts
Experience analyzing business processes and writing clear functional/technical documentation
Proficiency with SSMS, SQL Profiler/Extended Events, and version control like Git/Azure DevOps
Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, SSIS, and/or stored-proc based ETL
Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have
