Dear Friends,

We're playing a show this Sunday on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ. 8pm, over by 4th Ave. It's free, you should come, wait out the traffic back north with us. It's a gig to help raise awareness for this charity event we're participating in, the Asbury Rockstars Charity Softball game. If you can help us raise a couple of bucks for the American Auto-Immune Diseases Association (how IS that supposed to be hyphenated?), we'd surely appreciate it. In fact, we're offering one of our brand new Ben Franklin t-shirts to the first person to donate $50! First ten folks to donate $15 get a screen-printed copy of our first record, Optimist

If you are so inclined, donate here. Make sure you leave us an email address in the payment form so we can get in touch and send you some booty.

We've been working very hard the last month or so on just four songs. We begin recording next weekend with Adam from Black Water. Currently in talks to release it on an excellent new label this Fall as a 7". Can't wait to share the details with you guys. It's tentatively titled Urgency.

We've got a lot more stuff in the hopper, this is kind of a means to get started on album number two (some of these songs will be on it).

Thanks for listening,
Billy & The Gang

PS In case you missed it, highlight videos from our trip with The Amboys are up on our new videos page. I suspect they have far more embarrassing material, and have merely declined to publish it out of charity and kindness. There's a great clip of the boys kicking out their jams in front of the RV in a parking lot.

PPS NYC shows, coming soon, this Fall, at a theatre near you.

Hi everybody,

The boardwalk performance yesterday ended up being postponed (to Aug 22nd – not sure if we're playing it yet). We found out in the middle of the afternoon while we were rehearsing and such, but we didn't make much of an effort to get the word out for anybody who was betting on us being there – and I know of at least one person who ended up waiting around for a show that wasn't happening. Eddie posted a note up on Facebook along with a few other folks, but we should have updated the mailing list, band pages, etc, and done a better job of letting people know (answering my phone would have helped). I feel horrible about it because I really, really appreciate the folks who come out for us when they can.

My apologies, it won't happen again.

Sincerely,
Billy
