Dear Friends,
We have two shows coming up soon, one in Jersey City, and one in Brooklyn: we are ever astride the city between! Both shows feature some brand new friends of ours from New Brunswick who have a really rip-roaring sound, our brothers Holy City Zoo,
give 'em a listen here.
We have a real gem of a band headlining the Bruar Falls show: Drunken Sufis. Do not miss this act,
epic angry left music, hilarious stabby dance-punk. I've wanted to get them on a bill of ours for a while, and I'm very much looking forward to that kind of dancing that makes me all sore the next day, I think you're gonna love it.

It's with a heavy heart we must say goodbye to The Macho Man Randy Savage. Fine, I'll cop to being a little tongue in cheek, but the guy was a really charismatic entertainer, and that kind of thing fascinates me, it was a real and strange talent. I can't help but watch some of these videos of him, even though you pretty much know what to expect. He really goes off the rails on coke, definitely
look that up if you're bored; take a break from work, slow the gears of this giant imperial machine down just a little bit. The weird thing is that it wasn't just for kids, it was definitely for adults, too, all the wrestlers they made up when I was a kid. I mean, what was Macho Man doing on Arsenio Hall? Do you remember all the swarthy middle-eastern characters, dictators and sheiks, like the guy who was an Iraqi, and also played an evil Iranian, Mr. Enemy of America?
