Fast approaching is next weekend's Brick City Sound Riot, a two-stage, three-day music festival in Newark, NJ, put together by some of our best friends, and featuring some of the best live acts in the area, tons of them! The full line-up is at the link above, and you should go check it out and grab yourself some tickets, apparently sales have shot through the roof now that the headliner has been announced: Rye Coalition! The playlist at the website is an awesome compilation, put it on your computer speakers and let it rip this afternoon while you clean the house of last night's excesses. It is deserving of air-guitar-in-underwear dancing and thrashing about. Sure to cure any hangover blues.

You know who else is playing? The Press, Black Water, No Pasaran, You Say USA, The Lost Romantics, Not Blood Paint, Invisible Lines, Meet/Pause, I Am the Heat, Wyldlife, Holy City Zoo, Killing the Messenger, The Everymen, The Black Hollies! That's just a handful. Check it out.

We're on Sunday at 7pm, and it's going to be an extra-special set that I think you don't want to miss, this will be our last show with our dear drummer Sarah Tomek!!! She’s been offered a great touring gig that she’s been working towards for a long time, and it will be pretty hard for all of us to keep working together regularly once Sarah sets sail, so she’s stepping after BCSR so that we can find someone new to take her place. We’re sad to see her go, but we’re happy for her, and we’re really going to burn it down next Sunday in Newark!

We’ve got some more excellent shows coming up this October, and the original Benny Franks drummer, Gorgeous Joe Borges will be learning our set and filling in for us, bringing you the original Ben Franklin line-up, for a limited time only! First up is Washington D.C. on Oct 8th for the STPP Festival, and then here in NYC on Oct 19th at Bowery Electric for a CMJ label showcase. 

We’re going to start auditioning for a new drummer soon. If you know someone who might be a good fit and digs what we do, please send them our way (we.are.be...@gmail.com), we’re going to ask everyone who’d like to give it a shot to learn a few of our tunes and come play them with us at our studio. We’ll bring the beer, you bring the boom!
