I've been researching and experimenting for months, and was wondering if someone could just shoot me straight here.

My goal is to bring my original content to a 24/7 broadcasting channel for a genuine TV experience in a web browser (or ios, android, roku, basically everywhere).

Paid solutions are too expensive, which brought me to P2PTV with an HLS stream from my server.

Am I on the right track here to achieve this?

Sorry if this question is too broad. It's hard to find good information without getting into the whole pirating wormhole!

Loren,

In my opinion you are on the right track.

HLS is already supported for most of devices (Ios, android, roku, wii u, playstation 3/4, and lot of smart tvs).

With a P2P solution like bem.tv,  as your access increases, the number of people peering your video chunks will increase, and thus you will spend less with CDN.

You can also try use low costs CDN like cloudflare.

Great, thank you! Just wanted some reassurance I'm on the right track.
