We have successfully installed BemTV, but we don't see any p2p traffic. On the HLS stats p2p sent/received - 0. I have configured player, to log all events to console and we have a lot of messages "Choked, getting from CDN". As we checked, Nimble Streamer is serving 6 sec. chunks, and this parameter at this moment is not configurable. Any way to use BemTV further?

Hey Konstantin, sorry for the late reply.

Can you check if Nimble Streamer is serving the same name of ts files for all the clients? We have faced a similar problem with Wowza which the segmenter generates different names for different sessions.

Nible Streamer is producing playlist in such format:

#EXTM3U
#EXT-X-VERSION:3
#EXT-X-TARGETDURATION:16
#EXT-X-MEDIA-SEQUENCE:0
#EXTINF:4.04,
n_0.ts?nimblesessionid=53
#EXTINF:7.92,
n_1.ts?nimblesessionid=53
#EXTINF:9.12,
n_2.ts?nimblesessionid=53
#EXTINF:6.72,
n_3.ts?nimblesessionid=53
#EXTINF:6.44,
n_4.ts?nimblesessionid=53

If your script is taking for example: n_4.ts?nimblesessionid=53 as a filename, then I thinks it's wrong, you should parse filenames so they don't include query parameters.

Well, I downloaded all mp4 chunks by hand, and stored in a simple folder in a nginx server, placed m3u8 file wit filenames without nimblesession, and got the same result - "Choked, getting from CDN". Is there any debug option in BemTV to determine what it trying to get?

Hey Konstantin,

The current version of BemTV is focused/configured for live streams. Even know that it works for VoD streams (I've already made some tests), I'm afraid that in your specific scenario BemTV is facing timeouts during the transfer. Can you see "Md5 OK" messages on the console? If so, I think that the problem is related to this issue.

To enable/disable logging on your console, please type ctrl+shift+l.

Hello,

Can you try using BemTV default stream (http://cdn.bem.tv/stream/soccer5/playlist.m3u8) just to make sure that the problem is not with your build?
