Dear BELROA LM member,
A) BERECHS has been modified by BEL Mgt and Circulars have been
issued.
B) Salient features:
1) Retired Exucutives and employees are grouped in to 3 Categories
Category I : E-V and above
Category II : E-I to E-IV and TC personnel
Category III: Non Executives
2) Coverage has been increased to:
Rs.1.75 Lakhs for Category I,
Rs.1.25 Lakhs for category II
Rs.0.85 Lakhs for category III
3) Knee replacement surgery is covered under the insurance to the
extent of 4 times the individual member's eligibility (OR 2 times the
eligibility of both husband and wife
put together)
4) Member need to pay only 40% of cost of medicines if purchased from
designated pharmacies.
5) Contribution from members also increased:
Rs. 28000 for Category I,
Rs.20000 for category II
Rs.14000 for category III
6) All existing members to contribute the difference of amount between
already paid amount and the above indicated amounts. This difference
should be paid on or before 18th March 2011. If members fail to pay
the difference amount, their membership would be kept in abeyance.
7) These changes will come into effect from 1st April 2011
We are trying to get sufficient number of copies of the
circulars so that we can post them to our members. Alternately we can
post the circulars on our website www.belroa.org and/or email them
wherever we have the email IDs of the members
The circulars are uploaded in the web for your immediate
reference. I am sure there would be many doubts in every body's mind
which we may discuss in our EC meeting on 20th Feb 2011 & forward
it. .

Dear Ms Sundarakanthi Sampath,
Thanks for the information posted. Please let me know whether the difference of contribution of insurance amount of Rs. 18,000 /- (Rs. 28,000 - Rs. 10,000) is to be sent to General Manager -Personnel or to CMO /BEL Hospital.
You mentioned about claiming the amount spent for purchase of medicines. I am in Treivandrum. Will this facility be extended to me ?. My wife is taking cholestrol reducing tablets regularly. Similarly, can I claim the amount spent for yearly medical check up for bopth of us?
I would be glad if you could find out and reply to this querry.

Dear Ms Sundarkanthi Sampath,
Thanks for the information.Please let me know to whom should I forward the balance contribution of the insurance amount ? If I remember correct I had contributed Rs. 10,000/- while retirement in 2004, Is it O k If I send Rs. 18,000 /- through DD ?, and in favour of whom should I take the DD?
With regard to reimbursement of cost of medicines, Since I am staying in Trivandrum, can you please advice me how should I go about claiming the cost of mecicines? Is there any set procedure for the same?
So far I have not claimed any amount. My wife is taking tablets daily for reduction of cholestrol.Similarly please let me know whether I can claim the amount spent on yearly check up.

Hi,
As regards clarifications sought by Mr, K S Venkatesh, I understand from the circulars issued by Corporate Office that:
(1) The list of pharmacies is yet to be published. Till that happens the exisitng arrangments continue.
(2) The balance amount to be paid as DD favouring Bharat Electronics Limited, to be sent to the HR.
