Rathfarnham Athletics Club

Hi Everyone,

As you are undoubtedly aware, Belpark Triathlon Club has always been affiliated with Rathfarnham Athletics Club. Belpark triathletes train and race as Rathfarnham athletes and the arrangement is greatly beneficial to both clubs.

Rathfarnham Athletics club charges a small annual fee of €100 to its members, an insignificant sum when you consider the quality of coaching and training sessions. The athletics club also pays race entrance fees for all athletes when they are representing the club.

In my experience, collection of fees by the Athletics club has always been casual in that you wont be asked to pay as soon as you turn up to your first session. The club treasurer will probably ask you to pay when you have been training for a significant period of say 3-6 months and you are entering events on behalf of the club. Some Belpark members (including myself) already pay the annual fee to the athletics club but we agreed at the most recent AGM to encourage more members to contribute to Rathfarnham A.C.

To this end I agreed to try to collect fees for 2012 from Belpark members who regularly participate in Rathfarnham athletics club sessions. We agreed a subsidised fee of €50 should be paid by members of the triathlon club regularly training with the Athletics club.

If you consider yourself a member of the Athletics club and wish to pay the reduced annual fee through Belpark for 2012 please email me as soon as possible (liam...@gmail.com) and I will reply with a PayPal request for €53 (€3 to cover the PayPal processing fees)
