Video Stroke Analysis Session and New Swim Coach

Hi Everyone,

 

This evening is Colin Bolger's last session as our swim coach. Colin was great to fill in for a few weeks but due to commitments with Pulse Tri Club he has to return to coaching their session on Friday evenings.

 

The good news is that Stephen Early has agreed to coach the session starting next Friday 14th October and to start with we are going to hold a stroke analysis session in place of the usual swim session. For anyone who doesn't know Stephen have a look at this article; http://www.irishtriathlon.com/index.php/2010/09/stephen-earlys-channel-swim/    He is probably the most experienced distance swimmer to ever race for Belpark.  

 

Starting at the normal time of 7pm we will run a swim session in 3 lanes but at different stages throughout the session you will be given the opportunity to have your stroke recorded on an underwater camera. Stephen will review everyone's video in "Charming Noodle" after the swim on a Lap-top and give you feedback on how to improve.

 

The notes taken will be used to by Stephen in the following 8 weeks at the pool where he will tailor the sessions towards distance training and give advice on what pool sessions to do the rest of the week. 

 

The video analysis will be limited to probably 12-15 people so please email me as soon as possible so I can add you to the list. 

 

The session will cost you nothing more than the usual €7 and hopefully it will encourage everyone to attend the following 8 weeks and build on everything they learn. This is an ideal time of year to improve your stroke.

 

So 7-8pm is the video analysis and we'll review the videos over a plate of food in "Charming Noodle" from 8:30 - 10pm.
